Tomas is more than a week in NY and ready for new challenges

Tomas moved to NY directly from Bejing. For the first time since the 2004 Australian Open, Roger Federer is not the No. 1 seed at a Grand Slam tournament. That honor belongs to Rafael Nadal, the new No. 1 player in the world. Tomas is, as usually in last years, at the top half. That's why is the change on Number 1 position important. With Roger has Tomas stats 1-7, but with Rafa 3-4.

Tomas is seeded as number 22 a will meet in first round Sam Querrey. They met once. It was this year at Masters Series in Miami, with a strong win 6-1 and 6-2 for Tomas. The winner of that match will face up with the winner of  Andujar (ESP) - Devilder (FRA). Next seeded player in Tomas quater is Ivo Karlovic.
